Hurray. I think I’ve cracked it.
I’ve tried to get my head around how to use the wordpress system to allow me to write on many topics, whilst avoid exposing too much to too many. For instance, I want a blog in which I can spill a load of ideas semi-anonymously (via a pen name or something), but if all of my personal posts are also on my blog, that kind of spoils the effect.
Anyway, the solution appears to come in the form of a multi-domain plugin (DomainTheme). This allows me to attach different domain names to a single wordpress instance, each with its own look and feel and set of categories. In this way I can have a personal blog, and an ideas blog, and have them both seem totally like they are totally separate whilst writing for both in the same system. Oh, and if I want to post the same article to both, I can :).
Double hurray.
